Points inside the glass are tiny fractures, approximately .1mm in size
created by a focused laser beam. The conical beam, with a focal length of
about 3” shines into the crystal without damaging it except at the focal
point. At that one point, the concentrated energy heats the glass causing
the microfracture. The laser is pulsed on and off reflecting onto a
computer-controlled mirror that moves between pauses, accuracy is the clue
to the design. In some designs there could be 100,000 to 400,000 points of
fracture, just connect the dots to make a beautiful piece of art.

You will want to select a lighted base to enhance your CRYSTAL ART. The base
brings the glass etching to life, reflecting the color of the light on
every microfracture of the crystal.
